II International Youth Forum "PEACE is our future"
II International Youth Forum "PEACE is our future" was held September 28-29, 2017. The forum was organized by Belarusian State University, the BSU Student Assembly and the Council of Europe Information Point in Minsk. The aim of the event was to share knowledge and experience among students from different countries, as well as to establish cooperation for the implementation of joint youth projects.
Belarusian State University became a platform for the exchange of experience for 60 leaders of student organizations from 18 universities of 7 countries.
The work of the forum was conducted within the framework of three sections: "Participation of students in university management and education quality assurance", "Employability of students as an organizational and substantial characteristic of the educational process" and "Youth entrepreneurship and forms of developing business ideas for young people". Participants of the forum presented various models of student management, self-government, evaluated role of influence of the youth on decision-making in universities, discussed issues of practice-oriented training and formation of professional competencies of a modern specialist.
Expert opinions on student self-government and education quality control were shared by the Council of Europe expert, the deputy director of the Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education Ms Aurelia Valeikienė (Lithuania), the Head of the Council of Europe Information Point in Minsk Ms Larissa Lukina, a national expert in the Bologna Process Monitoring Group Mr Alexander Rytov.
