Winners of the "Erga Omnes" competition at the World Forum for Democracy

The World Forum for Democracy was held in Strasbourg from 19 till 21 November 2018. It was attended by four winners of the Council of Europe law Republican competition "Erga Omnes" (2018). They are: Diana Faletskaya, (International University “MITSO”, Minsk), Viktoryia Kryshtal (International University “MITSO”, Minsk), Kirill Khilchuk (Brest State A.S. Pushkin University, Brest) and Diana Makhnach (Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, Vitebsk). Anna Sizintseva, Administrative and Finance Assistant of the Council of Europe Information Point in Minsk, and Pavel Senko, project manager of the International Law and Arbitration Association, accompanied the delegation of students.

This year the Forum was dedicated to gender equality, in particular, to the issues of protecting women's rights and the need to ensure gender equality in the world.

The Forum was divided into a number of “laboratories”, within the framework of which the participants talked about eradication of sexism and violence in politics, gender stereotypes in the media, combating human trafficking, coping with the gender gap in the economy, the need to protect the interests of ethnic minority women and many other issues.
